Documentation: Saving and Loading your Windows

Saving and Loading your Layout of Floating Windows in VR

When using the various window-based features, editors, and menus, it can be helpful to save your current workspace so that the next time you return to VR, you can immediately continue working without having to open and arrange your windows again.

In the MARUI menu (on your right controller),

in the “WIndows” sub-menu:

you will find two items to save and load your currently opened windows:

MARUI will save the windows as hidden nodes in your scene, so you can save a different window arrangement with every Maya scene, and edit the nodes manually if you wish to.
(Note that the position of the windows relate to real-world units and not Maya units).
